Directed Research in Global Studies

Students in Directed Research will be part of the Global Studies Undergraduate Research Assistant Team. Research assistants learn valuable skills and gain practical experience by working on Global Studies-affiliated faculty research projects. All Global Studies students are encouraged to apply, but the program will be especially beneficial for Sophomores and Juniors. Students meet for weekly workshops that introduce multidisciplinary research perspectives, skills, and resources. Students will be matched with a faculty research project and devote five hours of research work per week to the project. Students must complete a separate application and be approved by the instructor to enroll.
